Essential Karting Information
Please read the following before coming to visit us. This will ensure that we can allow you onto the track and make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Are you able to drive?
Anyone can drive as long as they are not less than 4 foot 3 inches and can operate the pedals. We can allow people with disabilities and medical conditions to drive as long as you are completely satisfied that you are able to. If you are in any doubt about that please consult your GP. Karting can be very physically demanding.
Suitable clothing, what to wear?
We supply overalls, gloves and helmets. You're welcome to bring your own but the helmet must be full face with a visor with a suitable chin strap. No open shoes or high heels are allowed. A decent pair of flat trainers is recommended. We are not allowed to let anyone drive unless they have the correct clothing and shoes. Safety first with absolutely no exceptions.
Do I need to book?
To avoid dissappointment it is highly recommended that you book. Bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to your arrival by telephone or email. Please arrive at least 45 minutes BEFORE your booked driving time to allow for time needed to get changed and your safety briefing. Lockers are available for your belongings.
Is there a charge for parking?
No, we have plenty of parking right outside the unit and it's all free.
Can I have exclusive use of the track?
If your party is large enough we can arrange for the track to be yours, if there are less than 8 in your party and you are here for "Arrive & Drive" then you may well be sharing the track with others depending on how busy we are. In quiet times we will do our best to stagger drives to give them as much space as possible on track.
Are laps timed?
Yes, we time all karts and you can take away a print out to show your mates (for a small charge).
What if i'm not driving?
This is no problem, you can either watch the action from our viewing gallery or relax with a cuppa and cake in Flo's Cafe.
